Read out fault memory |
Prerequisites: |
- Vehicle at standstill
- Turn system selector switch to EDC (2) position (see electrical key)
- Drive switch on (drive switch to step 2, drive position)
Fault output via EDC fault lights (yellow): |
- Press check key (red) for at least two seconds (EDC control lights come on while key is pressed).
Notes: |
- The fault memory can be read out while the engine is at a standstill or while it is running.
- The diagnostics always output one fault only. To find out whether a number of faults are stored, the fault code output must be repeated until the fault which was displayed first reappears.

Clear fault memory |
- Press and hold down the check key with the drive switch at off,
- Switch on the drive switch (step 2, drive position),
- release the check key after three seconds (do not hold it down for more than ten seconds)
Note: |
The check key only clears the flash codes fault memory, the faults can still be read out for MAN-cats. |
