Prerequisites: |
|
- Vehicle at standstill
- Turn system selector switch A to position (6) and system selector switch B to position (8) (see also electrical key)
- Drive switch on (drive switch to step 2, drive position)

Fault output via steering control function lights: |
|
- Hold down check key (red) for at least one second.
|
|
Notes: |
- Fault outputs according to priority
- Long flashes (5 seconds) correspond to the tens position
- Short flashes (1.5 seconds) correspond to the ones position
- After a fault is output, a pause of 5 seconds is set, the function lights stay off for clarification. During this period, hold the check key down (for at least one second) to call up the next fault.
- The check key can be held down and this outputs all the faults.
- The flashing code output can only be called up once after "Drive switch on".
- When all faults have been read out or no faults are present, then the flashing code 20 will be output (two flashes each lasting 5 seconds).

|
- Press and hold down the check key with the drive switch at off,
- switch on the drive switch (step 2, drive position),
- after system start (function lamps off again), release the check key.
- Press the check key again and flashing code 20 is output.
