Pressure sensor fault |
SG 53.8270.10 and 53.8270.12:
- Detectable faults
- Pressure sensor signal implausible, i.e. at prop flow = 0, the measured value is greater than 2.5 bar or, at prop flow > 0, the pressure remains at 0 (detection time is 1 s for both).
- Pressure sensor power supply (5 V) short circuit or discontinuity (detection time 30 ms).
- Deviation between the measured actual pressure and the target pressure is greater than 1 bar (detection time 10 s).
- Fault reactions
- Slight fault, i.e. the retarder is still operational, but the increased proportional valve interference increases the loss of air.
- The pressure sensor power supply is switched off.
- Fault code 38 is stored
- For SG 53.8270.12, the following also applies:
- If the service function is active after the ignition is switched on, a fault will not be generated if the deviation between the measured actual pressure and the target pressure is greater than 1 bar.
Reason: No air supply due to empty air reservoir (e.g. after the vehicle has been stationary for a long period).
