Read out fault memory
Prerequisites:
  • Vehicle at standstill
  • Turn system selector switch to ABS (1) position (see electrical key)
  • Drive switch off and on again = Reset (drive switch to step 2, drive position)
Fault output via ASR info lights (yellow):
  • Hold down check key (red) for at least two seconds. The configuration output is shown in two blocks, followed by the diagonal 1 fault code output in the third block and diagonal 2 in the fourth block.
Notes:
  • Diagonal 1 (third block) corresponds to 1L/2R/3L (first shaft left wheel/second shaft right wheel/third shaft left wheel).
  • Diagonal 2 (fourth block) corresponds to 1R/2L/3R (first shaft right wheel/second shaft left wheel/third shaft right wheel).
  • Only one fault can be read out via the flashing code for each diagonal; this means: The most recent fault is always indicated.
 
Setting up the flashing sequence (ASR lights):
0 ASR lights off
1 ASR lights on
2 Hold down the check key for at least 2 seconds
3 ASR lights 1 second off (pause until the first block)
4 Output first block (Configuration code)
5 ASR lights 1.5 seconds off (pause until the next block)
6 Output first block (Configuration code)
7 ASR lights 1.5 seconds off (pause until the next block)
8 Output third block (Fault code toDiagonal 1)
9 ASR lights 1.5 seconds off (pause until the next block)
10 Output fourth block (Fault code toDiagonal 2)
11 End of flashing sequence
 
Clear fault memory
  • Press and hold down the check key with the drive switch at off,
  • Switch on the drive switch (step 2, drive position),
  • release the check key after at least two seconds.
